As well as the visitor centre there will be enhanced interpretation to help visitors understand Catrine`s somewhat complex industrial heritage site.

A recent award from Rural Priorities has secured funding for the heritage & visitors centre refurbishment costs associated with renovating the hall and link corrider at the rear of 14 Ballochmyle Street, Catrine. The former chapel and priest`s house at this location has been purchased by the Trust for the Community under "Community Right to Buy" legislation.
